I'm excited because we finally have green grass and it feels maybe not quite like summer, but springish...and the kids are out of school so it is basically summer...even though we do still need to turn on the heat on some nights. But I was able to use the green as a background in a picture, and it looked so cheery! So then I went a little spring picture crazy. (keep reading-you'll see)
Apple blossoms on the crab apple tree!
Lilacs! My favorite flower!
We also have piles of dandelions. I love their bright yellowness!! I know, they are a weed-but they are so cheery looking. (Maybe it has just been winter here for too long!)
Even got our garden planted finally! Note the huge fence we had to add in order to keep a certain digging, jumping puppy out. In the past our basset was convinced that she couldn't jump the 1 foot border fence around the garden. So we were optimistic and tried the little fence with our lab...and she plowed right through it. She can't jump this one, just hoping she doesn't dig under it!
It's also Memorial Day weekend. My grandpas served in WWII and I have some cousins currently serving-so what they do and give and sacrifice has been on my mind alot. I am really in awe of the bravery and courage and dedication that all veterans and soldiers give/have given. Thank you to them.
I'm an artist, mom, wife, cook, dreamer, and child of God. I love sunshine, snow, coffee in the mornings, cuddling with the kiddos, drawing, learning new things, and making anything with chocolate. For a little more in-depth on my stained glass background-check out my bio page. (there's even a pic over there!)
